Each instrument has its own page and they all play into the same desk: whatever you play, a cutting hears, and a planted cutting plays on under every page. The beat keeps time while you're elsewhere. The plant is pretend. Its conductance is a drifting number that jumps when you touch a leaf, which is roughly what a real electrode on a real leaf does — a living, wandering signal, not a plant deciding anything. Cuttings and the song stay in this browser tab until you download them. The song plays through the speakers but not into a new cutting, so each take you plant is only what you added. The mic only works on an https address.

Everything happens in this browser. Nothing you play or record is sent anywhere, there's no account, and a reload clears your takes, so download the ones you like.

Chrome works best. Firefox asks you to allow MIDI with a small add-on, and Safari has no MIDI at all. Wear headphones when you record, or the mic hears the speakers.

Cuttings

Plant one and it goes on the song at the playhead.
